Feeling over whelmed at this time of year?

When I’m struggling with confidence and am feeling overwhelmed by client’s expectations, I try to remember what got me into this industry in the first place. I love beauty therapy, I love my art form. I love seeing a customer transform at my touch and I love seeing their excitement and joy and they walk out a more happy and confident version of themselves. However, putting so much of your heart into your work and basing so much of your confidence and fulfilment on your career can make it hard to develop a healthy relationship with your work.

Beauty therapy is a form of creative expression, and like an art form, you need time, inspiration and energy to create your finished masterpiece. While taking the necessary time in your day or week to sit back, reflect and recharge might at first feel like a waste of valuable time, it is vital to your physical and mental health and ensuring a healthy and thriving work/life balance.
