“The Cross, Runway and Follow Through techniques are essential Strip Wax methods that improve control, hair removal efficiency and client comfort during Brazilian waxing.”
Brazilian waxing relies on more than just product. Technique is what determines the quality of the result.
This professional training video introduces three of Lilliane Caron’s Signature Brazilian Waxing Techniques using Strip Wax: The Cross, The Runway and The Follow Through. Designed for both beginner and experienced Therapists, these techniques create a structured and controlled approach to waxing that improves both performance and client comfort.
The Cross technique focuses on controlling hair direction before removal. By using the tip of the spatula to comb, detangle and straighten the hair, Therapists can guide the hair into position, preventing hair from snapping or breaking, allowing for cleaner, more effective removal.
The Runway technique is used to correctly stretch the skin during application and removal. By holding the hand in a firm L shape and applying pressure with the palm, the skin is kept taut, creating a smooth surface for Wax application. This allows the Wax strip to be removed in one continuous, controlled motion.
The Follow Through technique ensures that Wax removal is completed using full arm extension. This helps remove the hair from the root rather than breaking it, while also reducing the risk of bruising, skin lifting and unnecessary discomfort for the client.
Together, these techniques create a logical flow of movement that supports efficiency, consistency and precision throughout the service.
By mastering these foundational techniques, Therapists can improve their control, deliver more comfortable treatments and achieve professional, repeatable results.
